Honoring the colleagues whose work and friendship shaped our practice.

Dwayne Anderson, MD
1958 – 2023
Dr. Dwayne Anderson passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the age of 64. A long-time partner of Radiology Associates, he joined the practice in 2001 and served the Baton Rouge and New Orleans communities as a physician, mentor, teacher, and friend for more than twenty years.
Dwayne earned his medical degree from Drexel University Medical School in 1990 and completed fellowship training at Harvard University and the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. He was a gifted neurointerventional radiologist whose talent, wisdom, and compassion for patients shaped countless careers and outcomes across our region.
A Celebration of Life was held at the auditorium of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on March 3, 2023. His partners established a fund to honor his life and continue the work he cared so deeply about.
The loss of Dr. Anderson is deeply felt by Radiology Associates, his patients, and the entire medical community. He will be greatly missed.

Mark William Woody, MD
1952 – 2023
Dr. Mark William Woody, age 71, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana — and a former resident of Fort Madison, Iowa — passed away after a brief illness on December 10, 2023. Mark was a well-respected and much-admired radiologist in Baton Rouge and the surrounding area.
He took great pride in his work alongside his partners Charles Greeson, MD; Deana Jones-Braswell, MD; and Travis Blanchard, MD, with whom he built a practice grounded in patient-centered care and collegial trust. His humor, generosity, and steady hand in the reading room left a lasting mark on those who worked beside him.
Mark is survived by his son, William Richard Woody; William's mother, Danica Fornea Woody; and two stepsons, Dax Christian Thomas and Darren Earl Thomas, all of Baton Rouge; brothers Craig Warren Woody of Denver, Colorado, and Brad Marshall Woody of Aurora, Illinois; and nephew Samuel Allen Woody of Aurora, Illinois.
We are grateful for the years we shared with him and for the legacy of excellence he leaves behind at Radiology Associates.
